Dear friends!
Have you ever heard about any alternatives to Internet? About any new projects of networks, that can be used as original telecommunication and information resource (as Internet is used)?

Particularly, it is very interesting to know about any European projects.

Thank you!

Oh, and how about Kelsey Grammer busting his ass and cursing like a sailor at the Disneyworld speach talking about It's a Small World?

So, what does everyone think about the runaway bride? This story has totally dominated my life this week since I'm in Atlanta and it's sweeps. A Current Affair has been in our station like everyday. They're nice though. Can't complain about them as people.

We've had a really good time making fun of her- we hung a bug eyed pic of her on the bulliten board where people can write in captions and it's been hilarious.

Also, our producers are being ridiculous about not telling the topics of our specials. We're not even allowed to discuss it amongst ourselves and when we send out emails about the specials, we can only say the reporter's name and the airdate. God forbid the competition find out we're doing a story on the dangers of tanning beds.

I see that this community isn't very active, but I say we should change that because it's a super idea.

I am a news editor at WAGA in Atlanta and I have plenty to bitch about it. :) Anyone else work in television news?

Hi there. I have to admit, I'm surprised to find a community for this. I am the technician (and well, I handle everything computer for the sanity of everyone at the station) for a little am station in New Mexico, KRSN. I'm curious to see how this community will grow.

Geez, I don't know how to start this community out, except to say hi. ;)

I work as a web producer for a market-30 TV station. Technically my job is in promotions, but I actually spend 90% of my day doing the news side, and trying to wade the never-ending marketing/news turf wars. Striking a balance isn't always easy.

But anyway, I hope that people will start posting links to topics of interest, or maybe discuss what they do and how they deal with things. It's not a bad place to network. :)
